Our responsibility

The well-being of nature and our people is paramount. Therefore, they are also our responsibility to safeguard.

Caring for the environment and for our colleagues is a natural part of our DNA. We see this as a two-sided responsibility, set up in relation to the UN's Global Goals for sustainable development. These motivate us to do our job better. And we believe that we can make a difference for people and nature, especially in goal 3, 8, 12 & 13

Reducing food waste

To reduce waste, we make sure that fruits and berries with small surface defects, that do not meet the requirements of one product group, are used as other products. For example, discarded fresh fruit is pressed to juice. Fresh strawberries which are not approved by retail is pressed to strawberry juice while other berries are made into purees.

We always use as much of our raw material as possible. When we produce sour cherries, all of the berry is used. Including its stone which is used for heating. The same goes for the residue, we have left as organic waste. This is either used to produce biogas, becoming CO2-neutral energy, or is composted to return the nutrients to the soil for the benefit of the insekts.

The health of employees

The well-being and health of our employees is important, so they feel good and are happy with their jobs. That is why we are also GRASP-certified as part of our GLOBALG.A.P. standard.

We make ongoing initiatives that promote the health and well-being of our employees. We continuously invest in machinery to prevent manual lifting, automating the workflow and reducing manual, monotonous movements. In addition, our employees are continuously given the opportunity to develop their skills and are trained in the latest knowledge of their fields
